Police make forgery arrests

The Chapel Hill Police Department has arrested and charged two women with involvement in financial crimes.

Kimberly Ann Jones, 36, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., has been charged with eight felony and four misdemeanor counts including two felony counts of identity theft. Meggan Zarrilli, 25, of Cooper City, Fla., was charged with five felony counts and one count of misdemeanor, including two felony counts of forgery of instrument.

The suspects were involved in cases in which they attempted to cash stolen checks at local banks and are both being held in the Orange County Jail under a $100,000 secured bond.
