Students honored at UN Association luncheon

Eight students from Carrboro High and East Chapel Hill High were honored at a luncheon hosted by the United Nations Association West Triangle Chapter.
Each student was honored for a presentation he or she gave on global issues for a UN contest for students from West Triangle high schools.

Emily Powell and Amber Johnson of Carrboro High School won first place, Chi Le of East Chapel Hill High won second place and Hannah Schwartz and Kristen Lee of Carrboro High won third place. Yuyi Li, Christian Haig and Akib Kahn all from East earned honorable mentions.
