Congressional art honors

Five local high school visual-art students were honored at a reception on May 3 as participants from Chatham and Orange counties in the Fourth District Congressional High School Art Competition.

Students honored are Kristen Hutchinson, a senior at Northwood High; Autumn Crawford, a sophomore at Orange High; Kaitlyn Dobbins, a sophomore at Orange High; Hannah Greene, a junior at Orange High; and Megan Kaltenbach, a sophomore at Orange High.

Hutchinson received second place for her photograph titled “Always Waiting,” and it will hang in U.S. Rep. David Price’s office in Washington, D.C., for one year.
