Police seek suspect in bank robbery

The Chapel Hill Police Department is looking for information about a suspect in a bank robbery that occurred at the SunTrust Bank inside the Harris Teeter at 1800 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday.

The suspect, described as a white male in his early twenties wearing a white T-shirt, yellow traffic vest and a red bandana, entered the bank and presented the teller with a note demanding money. The suspect then fled the bank in a dark-colored vehicle with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The police ask anyone with information about this suspect to call the CHPD at (919) 968-2760 or Crime Stoppers at (919) 942-7515.
