The state winners from the Technology Students Association have been announced by the Career and Technical Education Department.
Winners from Chapel Hill High are Nikita Ermoshkine, Chris Chiesa, Manoj Paladugu, Caleb Roenigk and Kanishka Weerakkody, first place in animatronics; and Kanishka Weerakkody, first place in computer-aided design 3D engineering.
Winners from McDougle Middle are Derek Goss, first place in career prep; Taylor Castevens, Derek Goss and AJ Headen, second place in leadership strategies; and Kris Chellani, Taylor Castevens and Erika Shelton, second place in website design.
These students will advance to the national competition in Nashville in June.
