Public hearing on UNC wastewater

Posted on August 16, 2012 by Staff

The NC Division of Water Quality (DWQ) has scheduled a public hearing for Wednesday for residents to share their thoughts about UNC’s application for a permit modification to expand its wastewater system.

State regulators from the DWQ will be at the hearing to receive public comment before deciding to issue, revise or deny the university’s application to expand the system, which is located at 1907 Orange Chapel Clover Garden Road.

The hearing will take place at 7 p.m. at the White Cross Recreation Center, 1800 White Cross Road. For more information, contact Nathaniel Thornburg of the DWQ Aquifer Protection Section at (919) 807-6453 or Nathaniel.thornburg@ncdenr.gov
