CHCCS hires new school administrators

At the Aug. 9 school board meeting, Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools appointed four new administrators and approved transfers of two administrators.

Nyree Sullivan and Marian Dillahunt will be the new English/language arts coordinators. Sullivan will be in charge of grades K-6 and Dillahunt grades 7-12.

Corretta Sharpless was appointed as assistant principal at Estes Hills Elementary. William Evans Jr. was appointed as assistant principal at Culbreth Middle School.

Julie Hennis was transferred to Chapel Hill High School as its new dean of faculty and instruction. She worked previously as assistant principal of CHHS and Carrboro High School. 

Ivry Cheeks has been transferred to Phoenix Academy High School as the dean of students. Cheeks worked previously as an assistant principal at CHHS.
