Cheryl Carnahan, the current principal of Estes Hills Elementary School, has been selected as the principal for elementary school 11, which is slated to open fall 2013.
Carnahan has served as principal of Estes Hills Elementary since 2007 and served as the school’s assistant principal in 2006.
Before working in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools district, Carnahan worked in Maryland for the Howard County public school system in a number of roles including the director of professional and organizational development, staff-development facilitator, resource teacher, speech-language pathologist and elementary classroom teacher.
