Blanket Orange County gears up

Posted on November 18, 2010November 18, 2010 by Staff

The 7th Annual Blanket Orange County began this week and runs through Dec. 3. The goal this year is to collect 400 new or gently used blankets for the Interfaith Council (IFC), the Neighborhood House of Hillsborough and The Maggie Alvis Halfway House.
Blankets can be dropped off at the Chapel Hill-Carrboro YMCA on Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard, the Children’s Center at Carol Woods (7511 Sunrise Road), the Orange County Visitor’s Bureau (501 W. Franklin St.) or the Wellness Center at Meadowmont.
Cash donations, 100 percent of which are used to purchase new blankets, should be made payable to Blanket Orange County. For more information, visit blanketorangecounty.com or email Jan@BusinessClassInc.com or Rosemary@nc.rr.com
