Obituary: Wesley Lowder

Wesley Marion Lowder, 32, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010 from injuries sustained in an auto accident.

Mr. Lowder was born in Florence, S.C., the son of Melanie “Lanie” Scarborough and the late Dr. George W. Lowder Jr. He graduated from the The Asheville School, Asheville, N.C., and attended Furman University. Wesley was the owner of the Reservoir Bar in Chapel Hill, N.C. Survivors are his mother in Florence; his wife, Kristin Barnett Lowder, Chapel Hill; twin brother, Ashley Wayne (Maya) Lowder, Greenville, S.C.; brother, Christian Bethea (Jodi) Lowder, Columbia, S.C.; sister, Linsey (Edward) Lowder Cooper, Florence; maternal grandparents Mr. & Mrs. J. Banks Scarborough, Florence; paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. G.W. Lowder Sr. Columbia; mother and father-in-law, Ruth and Tom Barnett, Florence; brother-in-law, Tom (Robin) Barnett Jr., Cary, N.C.; three nephews and two nieces; and many aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him.
