Letter: Healthy cooking

Posted on March 31, 2011 by Staff

The book of Genesis tells us that, “Everything that lives and moves will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.” Here at St. Joseph’s CME church, we are trying to figure out how to stay healthy and enjoy all the wonderful food God has given us.

This Saturday at noon, St. Joseph’s CME church and Piedmont Health Services will be putting on a healthy cooking class for anyone in the community. Local celebrity chef Mama Dip and Piedmont nutritionist Heather Miranda will be demonstrating how to cook chicken-broccoli casserole and a full healthy meal. We are excited to have the chance to eat and have fellowship together over a healthy meal and learn something along the way.

The community is invited to share this meal and learning experience with us. Call 537-7485 or browng@piedmonthealth.org to reserve your spot with us. The class will be at St. Joseph’s CME. We hope to see you there!

Pastor of St. Joseph’s CME
