Chatham sets redistricting hearing

The Chatham County Board of Commissioners will host a second public hearing this Monday in the Agriculture Auditorium in Pittsboro to receive input on three proposed options for redrawing the five commissioner districts based on 2010 census data. The hearing will be part of the 6 p.m. regular commissioners’ meeting.

A copy of the current commissioner district map and the three proposed options are available at chathamnc.org/Index.aspx?page=35. Residents also can review the maps weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the county manager’s office at 12 East St. in Pittsboro.
