Each spring, members of the U.S. House of Representatives hold the Congressional High School Art Competition, with each member bringing a winning entry back to Washington, D.C., to be displayed in the U.S. Capitol.
The competition is coordinated locally through Fourth District U.S. Rep. David Price’s office. High school students in Orange, Durham and Wake counties are eligible to apply. Interested students should visit artsorange.org/grants.html#congress, and bring their entry to the Orange County Arts Commissioner’s office by 5 p.m. on Friday, April 13. Call 968-2011 or visit artsorange.org for more information.
