Back-to-school drive

Posted on July 26, 2012 by Staff

Communities in Schools of North Carolina (CISNC) is working with Chatham County Together! and Walmart to collect school supplies for disadvantaged students through the Build a Backpack campaign.

Each of Walmart’s 139 locations across North Carolina will participate in the supply drive. CISNC has partnered with other nonprofits in the state, including Chatham County Together!, which will help the Build a Backpack program reach Chatham County students. Chatham County is one of 79 North Carolina counties that will benefit from the Build a Backpack program.

The campaign launched earlier this week and will run until Aug. 31. Bins will be available in Walmart stores to collect donated school supplies.
