Market Street Books to close shop

Posted on April 23, 2009May 13, 2010 by Staff

Market Street Books at Arts & Letters Community Center has announced that it will close its doors at the end of April.

Michael Lyle, executive director of the Southern Village store, said the closing stems from a 40 percent dip in sales over the past eight months.

The store will sell its stock of books, candy, toys and more at 25 percent off. In addition, the store will sell all of its bookshelves, couches, chairs and other furniture. Those interested should visit the store and make an offer.
