The Orange County Partnership for Young Children will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its James Street community garden on Saturday at 10 a.m.
The James Street garden, located on a Duke Energy easement, will serve approximately 25 families, mostly affiliated with local churches. They will receive assistance in growing and harvesting fruits and vegetables and information on healthy food preparation.
The garden is the third community garden started through the Growing Healthy Kids Program, which is part of the Partnership’s Healthy Kids Campaign.
