Police ask for help in Food Lion case

Posted on July 16, 2009 by Staff

The Chapel Hill Police Department is seeking help finding the individual responsible for a July 11 break-in at the Food Lion on Weaver Dairy Road. The suspect smashed the window, entered the store and filled a trash can with tobacco products. The suspect appears to be a black male, possibly bald, 6’2” – 6”3” in height, wearing a green shirt, blue jeans and white-and-black shoes and was driving a silver 1989 or 1990 Toyota Corolla four-door with possible damage above the front wheel well on the passenger side. Police believe the suspect may be responsible for three other Food Lion break-ins.

If you have information, please call either the CHPD at 968-2760 or Crime Stoppers at 942-7515.
