Orange Charter breaks ground on expansion

Posted on March 25, 2010March 25, 2010 by Staff

Second-grade singers, eighth-grade speakers and kindergarten “diggers” gathered with faculty, staff and parents for a groundbreaking ceremony on March 12 at the Orange Charter School.
The expansion features a new 20,000-square-foot building that includes a gym/auditorium, additional classrooms and additional workspace for faculty and staff. Orange Charter has gone green for the construction of the building; bio-retention cells and other innovative technologies will be used to reduce the impact of campus buildings and parking lots on the environment.

The expanded facilities will allow OCS to increase enrollment in its successful middle school program and offer tuition-free admission to more area students.
