Jill Kerr, a family nurse practitioner in the Pre-K/Head Start Program, received the GlaxoSmithKline Child Health Recognition Award on Oct. 27 at the N.C. Early voting picks up steam
With the Morehead Planetarium site closed because of a conflict with the UNC football game, the Seymour Senior Center became the place to be for early voting in southern Orange County, hundreds of voters waited in line Saturday for their chance to cast a ballot. The unofficial tally at the one-stop site was 5,448 at 1 p.m.
County cuts deal for downtown library site
A 2.9-acre parcel of land adjacent to Carrboro Elementary School could become the site of a downtown branch library, county officials announced Wednesday afternoon.
