ECHHS students win space settlement contest

Break-ins occur across Chapel Hill

A rash of residential break-ins in the area this month has left Chapel Hill Police perplexed.
From Aug. 1-17, there were 20 break-ins in Chapel Hill, including 12 in which force was used to enter the home and eight in which suspects came in through an unlocked door or window.

Weaver Street Market rebounds

Four weeks ago (Flora, 7/8), I featured swamp milkweed, Asclepias incarnata, because of the pair of milkweed leaf beetles that hung around for weeks and weeks. My milkweeds have completed flowering for this year, and those two beetles, who did finally get together, are now gone.
