The UPS Store at Carrboro Plaza announced earlier this month that customers now have the option to neutralize the climate impact of shipping their packages by selecting the store’s carbon-neutral option.
Solar array dedication
Duke Energy, the Chapel Hill-Carrboro and Hillsborough chambers of commerce and the Maple View Agriculture Center will hold a dedication for a new solar field at Maple View next Thursday at 9:30 p.m. at the agriculture center on Dairyland Road.
Mentor program adds to staff

The expense of back-to-school shopping
I, being kind of a nerd, like the smell of new paper and the knowledge that there are new pencils and pens in my bag, and shopping for school supplies is always kind of fun for me. Until I start to feel guilty about how much money my mom is shelling out for my stuff.
