IFC files for shelter permit, town council talks guidelines
The Chapel Hill Town Council continued a discussion Monday night on how to proceed with a request from the town planning board on how to develop guidelines for shelters. Group petitions commission to reject paving
The community advocacy group Save Bolin Creek asked the Carrboro Greenways Commission at a public meeting at Town Hall on Monday to reject proposed plans to pave the Bolin Creek Greenway from Estes Drive to Homestead Road and instead create a 425-acre conservation preserve in the Bolin Creek Valley.

Joey and Freddie Shelton were honored by Mayor Mark Kleinschmidt and the Town Council, receiving rare “keys to the Town of Chapel Hill.†The Sheltons were recognized for their act of heroism when they successfully thwarted an attempted kidnapping.
