One-stop early voting Early voting begins Thursday, April 17, for the May 6 election. Unregistered but eligible voters can register at early-voting sites with identification showing their name and current address. Doing this means that you can only vote at the early-voting site. Registered voters can change registration information but not party affiliation.

Michael Ingram, the former head soccer coach at East Chapel Hill High School, was indicted and arrested last week on child pornography charges. Jason Perkins resigned as a social studies teacher at Woods Charter School last week after being charged with 10 counts of sexual exploitation of minors. Perkins, 38, of 540 Sutter Gate Lane in Morrisville, taught middle school students at Woods Charter. He was arrested last Thursday and released after posting bail.
