Students in the seventh- and eighth-grade orchestra at Phillips Middle School received a superior rating in the North Carolina Eastern Orchestra Festival on April 10 at Fayetteville State University. The orchestra performed “Sleepers Awake,” by J.S. Bach and “Ancestors,” by Shirl Jae Atwell. The orchestra is directed by Ann Daaleman.
