S.S. Sturgeon Bay (American freighter, 1918)

Color-tinted photograph of the ship at Green Bay, Wisconsin, probably in 1918 shortly after completion. She is painted in World War I "dazzle" camouflage.
This view is cropped from NH 105922-KN.
Soon modified for use by the U. S. Shipping Board's Recruiting Service, from 1921 to 1928 she served as USS Sturgeon Bay (IX-27), a Naval Reserve training ship.
