Dear Madam,
There is a gentleman?s way of arguing any matter or should we say
gentlewomanly way especially with such profound topics. I would avoid usage
of words like nonsensical etc. My letter does say that Ashtakshari without
an iota of doubt means <OM NAMO NARAYANAYA> at its outset.
Again let us not talk about hardcore devotees with more knowledge, without
knowing the other persons antecedents.
Knowledge is relative. All of us are ignorant (not knowledgeable) to various
degrees and we are groping in the dark for answers.
Most of us know the supersets etc having come from Scientific and
Engineering backgrounds.
To a lesser (or greater) extent we know what Vishista Advaita is and what is
denoted by the term "Narayana". We vouch for it as Srivaishnavas.

In this context it is important to remember that each Nama of the Lord is as
efficacious and as potent as the other. But the Vyapakam of the Nama or its
reach is what we are debating. No doubt "Narayana" is all encompassing but
the Lords names like Rama, Krishna or Venkatesa are endearing names of the
same "NARAYANA". "Yani Namani Gounani Vikhyatani Mahatmana:, Rishibhi:
Parigeetani Tani Vakshyami Bhootaye" says the introduction to the Vishnu
Sahasra Nama.
Otherwise why call Narayana as Rama, Krishna or Venkatesa? They all denote
one entity. When in Tirupathi we call Sriman Narayana as Venkatesa
,Srinivasa, or Govinda and of course as Narayana.

I am very sure that whatever is said or done by HH Sriman Chinna Jeeyar
Swamy is profound and entirely meaningful. Not even an iota of doubt about
that. Every minute this Dasan has spent in His Divine Presence was utterly
enjoyable and meaningful. His words are "Siro Dharyam" for me.
Forgive me if I sounded a bit harsh.
Adiyen,
Dasan,
Ramanujam.
