Gather around for story time with ibiblio.org
As part of this week’s festivities, remember to set aside a few hours for story time by the fire, and share some holiday classics with family and friends.
Visit Elegant Ebooks for easy access to Christmas books and stories such as The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus by L. Frank Baum, A Christmas Carol and “What Christmas is as We Grow Older” by Charles Dickens, and The Birds’ Christmas Carol by Kate Douglas Wiggin.
If you’re a Charles Dickens fan, visit Project Gutenberg to download both text and audio versions of his holiday stories. In addition to a handful of short stories, including “Holiday Romance,” you can enjoy one of the various versions of A Christmas Carol:
Text in English, with illustrations, in French, and as the original manuscript, and
Audio in English.
