About Potto
The Potto Project, which is a community collaborative effort to write quality textbooks for colleges, operates in the spirit of the open-content movement.
We are inspired by the open-content movement and we are using the open-content model (www.opencontent.org) to drive Potto.
On one side, big organizations, such as those controlling Hollywood media, support laws governing what we find is unthinkable: copyright [essentially] forever.
While the driving force behind “copyright forever” is economic, it is immoral.
We can‘t ourselves slay Goliath. We cannot provide every possible alternative to material that is governed by the “copyright forever”s` forces, but we can do something.
Potto is our something, enabling the availability of quality textbooks for college students.
The initiator of this project, Dr. Genick Bar-Meir, hopes that others
will join his efforts, which can truly benefit college students and
professors worldwide.
