We wish to introduce ourselves as a leading charitable &
non-profitable cultural organization in the field of Carnatic
Music, which is in existence since 2003. Rasikapriya is
founded by Dr. T V Manikandan, a graded artiste of All India
Radio and presently an Associate Professor in the faculty of
Music & Fine Arts, Delhi University. We got registered with
Registrar of Societies, Govt. of Delhi in May, 2005 with an
objective to promote, propagate and popularize Carnatic Music,
and this we attempt in a multitude of ways.
First, we locate youngsters who show potential to become well
versed in Carnatic Music and continuously train them for
years. Secondly, we arrange for stage performances for both
the young talents and senior artists. Thirdly, we arrange for
intense workshops and demonstrations where noted exponents of
music come and give training to our youngsters on a chosen
focused area, and finally we encourage our youngsters to
actively take part in various competitions as well as prepare
them for participation in various scholarship competitions. In
the event, we are happy to state that a number of our students
have won the prestigious Government of India Scholarships
apart from a large number of prizes at various competitions. A
number of them have established themselves in the field of
Carnatic music and are propagating the Carnatic Music at
various levels
