Between the casting signs, crew position signs, reading copies of the script, shooting schedules and hype sheets I've probably made 500+ copies here. I hope they don't read this document! Beside copies, I've used the computers a lot as well. This job is nice in general because it's much less stressful than full-time pre-production, which is what I do when I'm not here. I work hard in the morning, go to work, relax, then get off and start working hard again.
About 3 days ago, we made the official Thru Yonder Window Breaks laboratory / office / think tank. We converted the dining room table into a fine office. I got this metal file separator from trash at work, allowing us to keep all the folders and audition slips in order. I even hooked up a phone to the computer line, so we have a "business phone". The office gives us space to spread all our info out and stay organized. I need to devote a morning next week to writing a press release, and sending it to every paper in the state.

Worked all weekend. Filming starts tomorrow. Everything will be in place by 8pm when we film. We still have to acquire a snazzy suit for Cal Davis, and some black pants for Duke. Olivia is letting us use her Benz for the getaway shot, but we have to film the interior car scenes in Josh's hoop-ride. Oh well, I think we can pull it off. Just no shots from the inside that show the Cougar hood emblem.
I'm going to my Dad's tomorrow... |
